Directed Discussion: Institutional Infrastructure, Research & OSPOs

This closing session invites everyone in the room to weigh in on how academic Open Source Program Offices (OSPOs) can help support infrastructure that enables long-term impact of research and open source built on campuses. Together, the group will look at what proper maintenance of research software requires, where OSPOs can connect existing campus resources, and how that support translates into greater reach and impact for university research.

Stephanie Lieggi is Executive Director of the Center for Research in Open Source Software (CROSS) and the UC Santa Cruz Open Source Program Office, and Chair of the UC OSPO Network.

Hari Kuttivelil is a graduate student at UC Santa Cruz and member of core team of the Network Simulation Bridge (NSB) open source project.
